EASTERN CAPE

Addo Elephant National Park

NATURE

The great elephant stronghold of the Eastern Cape

Addo Elephant National Park began as a refuge for a tiny surviving elephant population and has grown into one of South Africa's most rewarding wildlife reserves. It is especially strong for elephants, but lions, buffalo, black rhino and a long list of antelope species are also present. Its accessibility from Gqeberha makes it one of the easiest safari add-ons in the country.
