NATURE

Dragon's mountain, Africa's Tolkien landscape

The uKhahlamba Drakensberg Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site β€” both for its geological drama and its extraordinary collection of San (Bushman) rock art, the largest concentration in the world. Tugela Falls drops 948m in five separate leaps β€” the world's second-highest waterfall. The mountains form the border with Lesotho and change color from gold to purple to near-black as clouds pass over them.
